I'm starting this blog for all of us Moms who are or could be Grandmas, too! I have a child and a grandchild who are the same age. I love being a grandma, but worry how my daughter will feel about having an 'old' Mom.
I got married and began having children at a young age. I have children that are 32, 29, and 22............and I also have an almost(counting down the days and hours!)7 yr old. My youngest has been an aunt since she was 7 wks old!
I like to think I'm young-seeming and fun! I worry that I am the oldest Mom in my daughter's entire school (I'm 52)! I worry that I don't do as much with my youngest like I did with the older 'kids'---after all, I was still becoming who I am now when they were born. I worry that I sometimes short-change my child and my grandchildren---this Grammy doesn't have the same amount of time for the little ones as I'm still doing all of the Mom things, too.
These are just some of the things on my mind; maybe they are on yours, too.
